Lucy Hobbs Taylor, first dental woman!

Lucy Hobbs Taylor

Lucy was the first American woman to graduate from dental school in 1986. She wanted to be a doctor, but no American university of that time accepted  a woman. Then she decided to train as a dentist and after several years of practice without a diploma, the university allowed her inscription.
She was born on March 14,1833 in New York. She worked as a school teacher for ten years in Michigan. In 1959, she moved to Cincinnati, intending to become a dentist.
After studying dentistry, Lucy started her own practice in 1861. In 1865, she finally gained all professional recognition When she was allowed to join the Iowa State Dental Society.
In 1866,she won her doctorate in dentistry, becoming the first woman to do that.
Then she moved to Chicago where she met James Taylor with whom she married in April 1867, becoming Lucy Hobbs Taylor. She convinced her husband to enter to dentistry too. After her husband's death, Lucy Taylor Ceased to be an active dentist, but Became more active in politics, campaigning for Greater women's rights, until her own death in 1910. I knew her because of the "Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award" and she is recognized and admired because of the struggle for women's rights .

THE MOST FAMOUS GROUP,THE BEATLES.

This is considered the best and most famous musical group in the history of popular music.I want to tell you something about their musical story and why they are still alive.
They began in 1963.Its music was louder and harder. John lennon met Paul McCartney in 1956. The first band was called "the Nurk Twins".In 1958, Paul brought his friend George Harrison to join the band.In 1959, the group was disbanded.
They regrouped later as Johnny and the Moondogs and then the Silver Beatles. They used to play in clubs, labour unions, halls and parties. The first drummer was Pete Best. They become famous in Liverpool.
In 1962 ,Ringo Starr replaced Pete Best as the drummer.
They created a great number and variety of songs that moved many people in a profound way.lennon was clearly the leader but the appeal of the group came from a blend of personalities.
John and Paul were the most creative couple of songwriters.Their songs gave hope and joy to an entire generation.Unfortunately,John Lennon was shot to death and his death marked the end of an era.
Their music still remains in the memory of us and all over the world.

Live your dreams

It was not easy for me to choose only one picture because I have a lot of them and each photograph that I have is important for me and generally each one has its own essence, but I can tell you that the pictures with sense and feelings involved are the most expressive and transmit to the person that sees it emotions that they go beyond the image.

Well, my image  is about a movie, this movie is too meaningful and I like it very much, this is about the secret life of Walter Mitty. He is an assets manager at "Life magazine".One day, he decides to begin an adventure which brings him travelling around the world. He knows so many differents places he has never thought to know..Walter always has a lot of dreams  but in the real-life Walter is far too afraid to live these dreams. Finally, there is a day he decides to change his life.

I do not really know who took this photograph or when it was taken, but I love it.The image shows a simple and thin man.He is in a very unusual place. It expresses an idea that identifies me well, "Leave to dream and begin to live."

Now,I want to give you a message  to think from the film:

"to see the world, things dangerous to come to,to see behind walls, draw closer,to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life."
